Move ELC

Nourishing growing minds and bodies

Good nutrition is an important part of helping children grow, learn and thrive. At Move Early Learning, our fresh, balanced meals are prepared onsite by our chef each day, providing children with nourishing food that supports their energy, development and overall wellbeing.

We see mealtimes as more than just eating. They are opportunities for children to connect with others, explore new flavours, develop independence and build positive relationships with food from an early age.

Our kitchen garden program

Through our partnership with the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, children discover the journey of food from garden to plate. They participate in planting, growing, harvesting and preparing fresh produce while learning about sustainability, healthy choices and the importance of caring for the environment.

These hands-on experiences encourage curiosity, confidence and a deeper appreciation for the food we eat.

Our approach to nutrition

Chef-prepared meals

Our onsite chef prepares fresh meals daily using seasonal, high-quality ingredients carefully selected to support children's growth, development and wellbeing.

Fresh and sustainable ingredients

Where possible, we use fresh, locally sourced produce and encourage children to understand the importance of sustainability, mindful choices and caring for our planet.

Inclusive and safe eating

Every child's needs are unique. We cater for allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements, ensuring all children can enjoy safe, nutritious and enjoyable meals.

Positive mealtime experiences

Mealtimes are relaxed opportunities for children to socialise, try new foods and develop confidence in their eating choices within a supportive environment.

Mealtimes at Move

We provide a variety of nutritious foods, textures and flavours suited to children’s different ages, developmental stages and individual needs.
Our mealtimes are calm, enjoyable and supported by educators who encourage positive eating habits and social connection.
Through self-serve opportunities and gentle encouragement, children develop independence, confidence and important life skills while enjoying meals together.
